St George Illawarra Dragons halfback Benji Marshall has been named to face the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Friday.

Marshall underwent scans earlier in the week to assess the severity of a minor hamstring strain sustained last round and will now remain under observation as he rehabilitates ahead of the away fixture.

Head Coach Paul McGregor has named a 19-man travelling squad for the match which also sees utility Nathan Green join Justin Hunt as the two wingers for the encounter.

Additionally, Fiji Bati international Eto Nabuli has been named on an extended six-man interchange which also features props Trent Merrin, Jack de Belin and Mark Ioane as well as hooker Craig Garvey and utility Jake Marketo.

“Scans have confirmed that Benji has suffered a minor grade one hamstring strain and will remain under observation throughout the week by our medical staff and given every chance to play up until kick-off,” said Dragons High Performance Manager Mark Andrews.

The Dragons will be looking to claim their second win over the Broncos for the season following their 12-10 victory at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah in Round 7.
