The St George Illawarra Dragons hosted their State of Origin 2 interstate function with Corporate Sponsors and Partners in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Dragons Ambassadors Mark Gasnier served as ‘Master of Ceremonies’ at the function dinner held at New Quay at Docklands prior to the Origin game.

Guests were able to hear from both Head Coach Paul McGregor and Club great Rod Wishart as they discussed their Origin experiences.

Guests then travelled by ferry down the Yarra River to take their seats and watch the fixture within the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Guests attended a luncheon at Ludlow Restaurant on the Yarra River the following day where Dragons Ambassador Shaun Timmins and former players Rex Turp, Ian Herron and Scott Gourley all served as guest speakers.

A final farewell was ushered in by former Dragons captain Mark Coyne prior to the guests departing Melbourne.
