The St George Illawarra Dragons launched their 'Back 2 Juniors' campaign which saw players from the first-grade and NYC teams visit 16 Junior Clubs as a way to give back to the community on Tuesday.

The Dragons visited Junior Clubs across their extensive catchment areas of St George, Illawarra and the South Coast which saw 26 NRL players visiting 16 Clubs.

This included captain Ben Creagh visiting Warilla (Illawarra), Benji Marshall visiting Arncliffe Scots (St George), NSW Country Origin player Joel Thompson visiting the Shellharbour Stingrays (South Coast) and Jack de Belin visiting Woonona-Bulli (Illawarra).

Furthermore, these NRL players were joined by extensive members of the NYC Under 20’s squad as well as former Dragons, NSW Origin and Australia internationals Matt Cooper and Shaun Timmins.

These visits are part of a new initiative called the Dragons Back 2 Juniors Program which will see players visiting Junior Clubs throughout the Dragons catchment area simultaneously.

The Dragons have a total of 38 Junior Clubs within their catchment areas and plan to visit the remaining Junior Clubs in a second wave of visits at a later date.
