The St George Illawarra Dragons would like to thank all Red V Members, Partners and supporters who made our Community Open Day a big success at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Thursday.

Red V Members and supporters alike were invited to watch the Dragons train on their home turf ahead of the round 12 local derby match against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at the venue on Sunday.

The Dragons NRL squad utilised the training session to practice several set-pieces and playing structures in additiona to key attacking and defensive drills, all under the observation of Head Coach Paul McGregor.

Afterwards, the players were able to meet and mingle with over 650 Red V Members and supporters who took to the field and happily signed Dragons jerseys as well as smile for the cameras!

Furthermore, Red V Members and supporters were able to tuck-in to a free sausage sizzle manned by St.George Bank staff, dance to the music of a live DJ in additional to watching on as younger Red V fans tested themselves in a pass-the-ball competition.

Red V Members and supporters alike were also able to take advantage of some great offers on Dragons gear whilst also securing their memberships and tickets ahead of the derby clash against the Sharks at the venue on Sunday.

The Dragons would like to thank in particular the St.George Bank, St George Leagues Club, the St George & Sutherland Shire Leader, Steelers Leagues Club and the Junior League for all their support in making the event a big success!

The Dragons recognise the importance these events play within the Community, so be on the look-out for the next event that you can be a part of!

The Dragons are encouraging all Members and fans to wear “Red” for a Red V Red Out at Jubilee Oval on Sunday and will have “Get Red-y” stations equipped with face painting, airbrush tattoo artists and merchandise to assist our fans to get “Red-y” with prizes on offer for the best dressed.
