St George Illawarra Dragons captain Ben Creagh will play his 250th first-grade appearance for the Club against the Sydney Roosters in the annual ANZAC Cup fixture at Allianz Stadium, Moore Park on Saturday.

The local University of Wollongong junior made his debut against the New Zealand Warriors in round 22 of the 2003 season and is presently the third most-capped player in the Club’s history (Ben Hornby 273, Norm Provan 256).

Head Coach Paul McGregor has named a 20-man squad for the traditional match which sees George Rose join potential first-grade debutants Drew Hutchison and Yaw Kiti Glymin on an extended seven-man interchange.

“It is an honour and privilege to be able to play my 250th match for the Dragons on ANZAC Day,” said Creagh.

“ANZAC Day is such a significant and special day on the nation’s calendar and it is my favourite game of the season.”
