The St George Illawarra Dragons will be looking to continue their recent momentum against the Brisbane Broncos at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Friday (7.30pm).

The Red-and-Whites enter the encounter on the back of four consecutive wins but face a Broncos outfit who have not lost since the opening round.

After allowing only one try in their 31-6 win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs last round, the Dragons head into the match with far and away the best defensive record in the competition, conceding less than 11 points per game.

On the other side of the ball, Brisbane boast one of the best attacking line-ups in the NRL, scoring 22 points per game.

A win for the Dragons on Friday coupled with a few results going their way could see them at the top of the table by the end of the round.

Team Changes

The Dragons have made just the one change, with Tyson Frizell’s suspension giving Will Matthews an opportunity to make his first appearance in first grade this season, with the 27-year-old coming straight into the starting line-up.

The return of captain Justin Hodges will be a big boost for Brisbane, with the Queensland and Australian international set to play in the centres, forcing Dale Copley back onto the wing.

Meanwhile, the one week suspension of Jarrod Wallace means Corey Oates drops back to the bench.
