The St George Illawarra Dragons Junior Representative teams will be in action once again on various days this weekend.

By Jack Books and Jake Bull

The St George Dragons will face-off against local rivals the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Remondis Stadium, Cronulla on Saturday.

Both the Dragons Harold Matthews (U16) and SG Ball (U18) sides enter the derby on the back of recent losses and will be looking for wins.

SG Ball Coach Brad Liggins hopes that the Dragons will finally break their losing streak.

“We’re looking at a tough match this week against the Sharks,” said Liggins.

“We have to work hard and our attitude has to pick up.

“We need to be better with the ball and eliminate our errors.

“We’re up against a good side, so we have to play extra hard this week so everyone’s got to be on their game.”

The Dragons Harold Matthews will kick off at 12:00pm and the SG Ball will follow at 1:45pm.

The Illawarra Steelers will host the Canberra Raiders at WIN Stadium on Thursday

Both the Harold Matthews (U16) and SG Ball (U18) are also in search of wins after unfortunate results last round.

The Steelers Harold Matthews will kick off at 6:00pm and the SG Ball will follow at 7:30pm.
