The Illawarra Cutters look to notch an important win against the Newcastle Knights at Ziems Park, Corrimal on Saturday.

The Cutters have just the one win under the belt from their first opening four games with each loss being by a razor thin margin.

Head Coach Scott Logan has named a relatively unchanged line-up to buck this trend with halfback Shannon Crook named in lieu of Drew Hutchison who reverts back to the St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team.

Other Dragons players named in the team include Will Matthews, Nathan Green, Kris Keating, and Peter Mata’utia.

The Cutters though face a Knights outfit who boast two wins from four outings and need a win to stay in a comfortable position now the season is beginning to warm-up.

The Knights have maintained a large component of their side that made the NSW Cup Grand Final last season and have named stalwarts including Jake Mamo, Carlos Tuimavave, Sam Matora, and Clint Newtown.

Both teams met in the Preliminary Final last season and in their first match since the Cutters will be seeking to square the ledger after the Knights played a near perfect game in route to ending the Cutters season.

The Cutters are still trying to execute the style that brought them a top four finish last year.

With penalties and errors costing them dearly so far, but they showed what they could do scoring 50 points in round three.
