St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team halfback Adam Clune has called for an improved performance by his teammates against the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium, Canberra on Saturday.

The Young Dragons have yet to notch a win from their opening two bouts this season, most recently going down 50-26 to Wests Tigers last round.

Clune, in the midst of his second season with the team, admits the most recent score line is unacceptable and that a better effort is required in the nation’s capital this weekend.

“It was a pretty poor performance against the Tigers considering we lost the opening round and we wanted to improve against them,” said Clune.

“Unfortunately we let in too many easy tries and didn’t really work for each other out there on the field.

“We’ve been training hard this week to try and get back on track and hopefully we’ll be better against the Raiders.”
