St George Illawarra Dragons fullback has been named in the travelling squad to face Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium on Monday.
The NSW Blues representative is part of a 19-man squad named by Head Coach Paul McGregor which features both Jake Marketo and Heath L’Estrange on an extended interchange.
Dugan, 24, was taken from the field in the 68th minute with an ankle injury in the Dragons opening round loss to the Storm with medical staff indicating that the injury results today were reasonably positive.
“Josh had scans today and the news was better than expected,” said Dragons High Performance Manager Mark Andrews.
“Josh has a strain, it is a syndesmosis injury but we will just monitor him throughout the week and see how he goes”.
Dragons captain Ben Creagh has additionally undergone scans to his back following the game late on Tuesday with results to be confirmed in the coming days.
