St George Illawarra fullback Josh Dugan will undergo scans to determine the extent of an ankle injury sustained during the 12-4 loss to the Melbourne Storm at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Monday.

The NSW Blues representative sustained the injury in the 68th minute when he attempted to gather a ball that had been kicked through the Storm defensive line.

Dugan left Jubilee Oval in a boot with Dragons Medical Staff indicating that the early signs were not great.

“His ankle doesn’t look too good at the moment, it looks as though he has a high ankle sprain," said Dragons Physiotherapist Dan Lawson.

“He is in a boot and on crutches and will get an MRI scan on Tuesday.

"We will then know the full extend of his injury."

There were no other major injuries to report from the match.
