The St George Illawarra Dragons have been informed that their Round 20 fixture against the Melbourne Storm will be held at McLean Park, Napier in New Zealand on Saturday, July 25.
The fixture had been originally scheduled to be held at AAMI Park, Melbourne but was switched to the new venue at the discretion of the Storm who are the home side.
The Dragons have no influence in the decision process and are aware that this means faithful Red V Interstate True Believer Members have no NRL Dragons match scheduled in Melbourne this season.
Furthermore, the Dragons will be also unable to host an Red V Interstate Member’s function in Melbourne this season as well.
The Dragons realise that many of our Red V Members have already shown their support for the upcoming season and purchased their Red V Interstate True Believer Membership with the understanding that the Round 20 fixture would be played in Melbourne.
All is not lost, as the Dragons are offering those impacted the opportunity to select an alternative option and have already emailed are valued Victorian-based Red V Interstate True Believer Members with these alternatives.
Dragons Red V Members wishing to attend the Round 20 fixture in Napier, New Zealand will be provided with a ticketing offer at a later date.
