The St George Illawarra Dragons Junior Representative teams will continue their preparations with two final pre-season fixtures taking place on Saturday.
The Illawarra Steelers Harold Matthews (U16s) and SG Ball (U18s) sides will host the Sydney Roosters at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Saturday.
The Steelers enter the encounters after coming away with two victories in the derby against St George last weekend ad will be looking to carry that form against their newest opposition.
Harold Matthews Coach Adam Blake is excited for the game and is just hopeful that the players can execute what they been practicing at training.
“We’ve been working on a few things that hopefully we can use on the weekend,” Blake explains.
“We know this is going to be a tough game, they are not coming to Wollongong to lose, even if it is a trial.”
It’s an earlier kick-off than last week with the Harold Matthew squads on at 10.00am before the SG Ball teams take to the field at 11.30am.
Similarly, the St George Dragons Harold Matthews (U16s) and SG Ball (U18s) travel to face the North Sydney Bears at TG Milner Field, Eastfield on Saturday.
The Dragons will be out to rectify their previously mentioned loss to the Steelers as they finalise proceedings ahead of the new season.
With players now well and truly entrenched in pre-season training and with the amount of spots remaining dwindling by the week, all players will be pushing for a place in the final 25-man squad.
The Harold Matthews squads kick-off at 9:00am followed by the SG Ball at 10:30am.
