St George Illawarra Dragons hooker Mitch Rein has taken the early plea after being charged with a Grade 1 "Dangerous Contact - Contact with Kicker" offence by the NRL Match Review Committee on Monday.

The NSW Country Origin representative was placed on report for the incident against Brisbane Broncos halfback Ben Hunt during the fixture at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Friday.

Rein has been loaded 127 points and will be unable for the fixture aganst the Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium, Newcastle on Sunday.
