The St George Illawarra Dragons defeated the Gold Coast Titans 42-16 at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Sunday.

The Young Dragons blitzed their opposition with eight tries including a double-brace to both winger Sitveni Moceidreke and second-rower Wes Lolo respectively.

Co-Head Coaches Ben Hornby and Dean Young made two changes from the team line-up released mid-week with hooker Thomas Freebairn and prop George Lolo joining the run on side in lieu of hooker Hayden McCrae and prop Jacob Host.

The Titans were the first to claim points through a desperate kick and chase resulted in Zac Spring crossing over in the 12th minute.

Yet the Dragons quickly evened the score six minutes later with a set-play try to fullback Matt Dufty.

Dragons Five-eighth Shannon Crook converted from the sideline to make it front 6-4.

The hosts extended their lead with a try to a flying Moceidreke ten minutes later.

The points continued to pile on for the home side as second-rower Wes Lolo barged over on the very next set.

Crook converted to make it 16-4.

Moceidreke later crossed over untouched to score again bringing the score to 20-4 in the 33th minutes.

The home side struck again right on the siren with a four-pointer to centre Euan Aitken to make the halftime scoreboard read 24-4.

The Dragons came out strong from the break with McCrea weaving his way under the posts to score.

Crook converted to make it 30-4.

Not to go down without a fight though, the visitors replied with prop James Iodice charging over the line.

Titans halfback Kane Elgey converted to make it 30-10.

The visitors stuck again soon on the hour mark with another try to Spring.

Elgey converted to make it 30-16.

The score remained the same until Lolo collected a perfect offload and claimed his second in the 70th minute.

Crook converted to make the score 36-16.

The Dragons though crossed over again with a try to winger Leigh Higgens.

Crook landed another sidline conversion to make the final score 42-16.
