St George Illawarra Dragons prop Dan Hunt has been charged with a Grade 1 "Careless High Tackle" offence by the NRL Match Review Committee on Monday.
The Dapto Canaries junior was placed on report for the incident against Penrith Panthers winger Dave Simmons during the fixture at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Sunday.
Hunt will be loaded 75 points if he takes the early plea or 56 points if found guilty.
The Dragons will consider their position and have until midday Tuesday to enter a plea.
