St George Illawarra Dragons prop Dan Hunt will be monitored after suffering back spasms in the 16-4 loss to the Penrith Panthers at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Sunday.

The Dapto Canaries junior has commenced his rehabilitation and is expected to available for selection against the Canberra Radiers at GIO Stadium, Canberra on Saturday.

"Dan suffered several back spasms which started in the warm-up and again during his first set on the field before the decision was made to withdraw him from the game at halftime," said Dragons Performance Director Andrew Gray.

"He has already started his treatment and we expect him to be fit for next round."
