St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team halfback Adam Clune is keen to return to the field against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Monday.

The Young Dragons are in the midst of resuming their training program following several days off as a result of the allotted bye round last weekend.

Clune notes that the rest was beneficial for everyone involved in the squad as the team prepares to continue their positive momentum and secure a berth on the Finals.

"It was good to get away for a few days and I know a lot of the boys were happy to recover after some recent close matches," said Clune.

"At this level a lot of us either still have university commitments or apprenticeships during the day so were weren't able to go on holidays or anything like that.

"Everyone is pumped to be back and continue where we left off before the break which starts against the Sea Eagles at home on Monday."
