St George Illawarra Dragons utility Josh Dugan scored for the NSW Blues in the 32-8 loss to the Queensland Maroons at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Wednesday.

The South Tuggeranong Knights junior, who earned his fifth cap, scored the lone try for his state during the second half of the fixture.

Dragons lock Trent Merrin started from the interchange make his tenth appearance for NSW.

NSW Blues 8. Tries: Dugan. Goal: Hodkinson (1/1). Penalty Goal: Hodkinson (1/1).

Queensland Maroons 32. Tries: Smith, Slater, Boyd, Guerra, Cronk. Goals: Thurston (5/5). Penalty Goal: Thurston (1/1).
