St George Illawarra Dragons hooker Mitch Rein has entered an early plea for his Grade 1 "Dangerous Throw" offence at the NRL Match Review Committee on Wednesday.

The NSW Country Origin representative was placed on report for the incident against South Sydney Rabbitohs prop Thomas Burgess during the fixture at ANZ Stadium, Olympic Park on Monday.

Rein will miss one match and be loaded 125 points. He will return for the Round 14 game against the Penrtih Panthers.

The Dragons Coaching Staff will determine a replacement in the coming days for the game against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
