St George Illawarra Dragons centre Dylan Farrell took time off the footy field to meet-up with Toothless the Dragon at Bondi Beach on Wednesday.
Toothless the Dragon stars in the upcoming film ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ and arrived to meet the Culburra Dolphins junior and local media fresh from the glitz and glamour of Cannes Movie Festival.
Farrell was joined by several life savers from the Bondi Surf Club to welcome Toothless as they explored the Bondi Pavillion as well as Australia’s most iconic beach.
“It was a unique opportunity to be able to meet the character Toothless,” said Farrell.
“My kids have watched his adventures in the first ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ film and he gave me some spoilers on what to expect from the upcoming sequel.”
‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ is a 3D computer-animated adventure film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
The film is inspired on the book series of the same name written by Cressida Cowell and is the sequel to the successful 2010 computer-animated film ‘How To Train Your Dragon’.
It has been five years since Toothless and Hiccup successfully united dragons and Vikings on the island of Berk and in the latest film the inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds.
The movie boasts a stellar cast including Cate Blanchett, Gerard Butler, Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Kristin Wiig, Jonah Hill and Djimon Hounson.
‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ hits cinemas on Thursday, June 19.
