St George Illawarra Dragons winger Brett Morris scored for the NSW Blues in the 12-8 win over the Queensland Maroons at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Wednesday.

The Kiama Knights junior crossed the stripe midway through the first stanza and dislocated his shoulder in the process.

However, the winger recovered to continue the match and gave thanks to his fellow team mates.

"We knew how tough the Queenlanders are on their home soil but it was a great effort from our boys to play the way they did and get away with the win," said Morris.

"I didn't want to let the boys down and had to score even if that meant putting my body on the line."
