St George Illawarra Dragons duo Joel Thompson and Mitch Rein were both charged with offences by the NRL Match Review Committee on Tuesday.

Both players were placed on report during the round 6 fixture against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park, Melbourne on Monday.

Dragons second-rower Joel Thompson was charged with a Grade 1 “Dangerous Throw” against Storm winger Tonumaipea Young.

Additionally, Dragons hooker Mitch Rein has been charged with a Grade 1 “Dangerous Contact - Unnecessary Head/neck Pressure” against second-rower Ryan Hoffman.

Furthermore, Dragons National Youth Competition second-rower Jack Bird has been charged with a Grade 2 “Dangerous Throw”.

The Dragons will consider its position and have until midday Wednesday to enter their respective pleas.
