St George Illawarra Dragons captain Ben Creagh has welcomed back a cast of injured players in the build-up to the Men of League Heritage Round clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at the SCG on Saturday.

The Red V welcome back fullback Josh Dugan (knee); prop Dan Hunt (prop) and halfback Michael Witt (shoulder) for the upcoming hit-out after the trio overcame their respective injuries.

Creagh believes each will have their role to play in the fixture and will be keen to help regain the team’s momentum following the loss to the Brisbane Broncos last round.

“We are all excited to be playing at the SCG and it is a huge honour for all the team,” said Creagh.

“Having those guys coming back fit and fresh will be great for the team and benefit us immensely.

“They’ve all been energetic at training which is what we need and I’m looking forward to playing alongside of them again.

“It was a disappointing loss against the Broncos and there were times in the game when we didn’t play too smartly but we reviewed the video earlier in the week and have worked out what needs to be corrected.

“We’re not looking into Souths’ form in recent weeks too much as they’re a quality side and a dangerous one all over the park so we’ve trained hard to put in a good performance.”
