St George Illawarra Dragons players and club Ambassadors helped celebrate the Christmas cheer in several locations by acting as Secret Santas and giving away gift vouchers to unsuspecting locals, on Wednesday.

Tyson Frizell and Kyle Stanley alongside Ambassadors Ben Hornby and Mark Gasnier, scoured the shops of Westfield Hurstville Shopping Centre performing acts of kindness for patrons as part of the Dragons Community, Jeep Australia and One Community joint initiative.

Simultaneously, New South Wales representative prop Trent Merrin, together with Mitch Rein, Charly Runciman and Sam Williams did the same at Westfield Warrawong Shopping Centre.

We just gave out a couple of gift vouchers to some people do their shopping, just to spread a bit of Christmas cheer, said Runciman.

It was great to see all the smiles on peoples faces and for us to give a bit back to the community.

Especially around Christmas, it can be an expensive time of year for families and its really good for us to help lighten the load.

"It's a really great initiative we have with Jeep Australia and NRL One Community, and obviously both Warrawong and Hurstville Westfields also helped us make it possible to give back to the community.
