Our success and theirs has been built on the forensic approach to player development we apply.
We nurture our defined playing style in all our Academy teams and deliver our Club philosophy.
In essence, the two main objectives of the Dragons Academy include:
- Provide a defined & seamless transition through the grades for Players, Coaches, and Performance Staff
- Understanding The Dragons Way
However, it’s just not Football; we prepare our players to not only to perform on the field, but to excel in life beyond it.
Our community and welfare programs remain industry leaders and as a club we place paramount importance on character.
Above all else, we want to be involved with Good People.
It’s a mission that runs right through the Dragons and is delivered through our unique culture and philosophy.

Dragons Academy wraps up for 2025
St George Illawarra Dragons respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples, where our games are played, our programs are conducted and in the communities we support.
