The St George Illawarra Dragons are set to next week embark on another South Coast Blitz powered by Squadron Energy.
NRLW stars Ella Koster and Montaya Hudson will be on hand alongside the Dragons Community Team as the travel south along the coast.
The team will be making stops at Sunshine Bay Public School, Candelo Public School, Mogo Public School, Delegate Public School, Bombala Public School, St Joseph’s Bombala, St Mary’s Moruya, Batemans Bay Public School and Sussex Inlet Public School.
A Win the Morning event will also be held at 7:00am on Tuesday, October 20 at Bush n Bloom Brew in Bombala with locals invited on a half-hour walk with the team.
Students will have the opportunity to take part in the club’s The Best You Can Be program which, now in its 12th year, encourages students to make positive choices about health, wellbeing and personal development.
Through interactive workshops, students learn about physical activity, respect and inclusion, nutrition, hydration, healthy sleep habits, managing screen time, and caring for the environment.
Koster, who this year received the club’s Community Involvement Award recognising the work she has done, is looking forward to connecting with the local students and teachers along the South Coast.
“The South Coast is such a beautiful part of our country, and the locals always show us so much love,” she said.
“We’ve had a massive year out in the community, but it never gets old seeing the smiles on the faces of these kids. They love rugby league down there and anything we can do to inspire them to be the best versions of themselves, we will. We’re so excited to get down there and see everyone.”
