Dragons young guns Maria Paseka and Cyrus Stanley-Traill have both earnt call-ups to Fiji’s respective Rugby League World Cup train-on squads.
Jezebel Navusolo, who enjoyed a standout campaign with St George’s NSW Women’s Premiership squad, was also named in the Fiji Bulikula squad.
Paseka, 20, has cemented herself as one of the Red V’s key contributors throughout the 2026 season having scored three tries and averaged 103 run metres in eight games this season.
A Kiama Knights and Collegians Wollongong product, Paseka’s NRLW debut came in Round 5, 2024 before she earnt a promotion into the club’s Top 24 this season.
A junior representative standout, Paseka managed tries in NSW’s Under 19s State of Origin victories in both 2024 and 2025 as well as Illawarra’s 2024 Tarsha Gale Cup Grand Final win.
She earnt her first taste of international football for Fiji in their IRL World Series campaign in Ottawa late last year scoring a hat-trick on debut against Canada.
Stanley-Traill meanwhile has spent the 2026 season on a development deal for the Dragons and makes the leap up to club’s Top 30 next season.
The nephew of former Dragons Kyle and Chase, Stanley-Traill played his juniors at Hurstville United and has progressed through the pathways system at St George.
He started in the back row in their SG Ball Grand Final win in early 2024 before earning a NSW City Under 18s nod and a Jersey Flegg debut later in the year.
Coming off his maiden NRL preseason with the Dragons, Stanley-Traill made his Knock-On Effect NSW Cup debut in Round 10 last year before representing the NSW Under 19s squad in June.
Over the past two seasons, the 20-year-old has made 25 Knock-On Effect NSW Cup appearances over the past two seasons having scored five tries and proven to be a capable in the middle, on the edge, and in the centres.
