Eden Hodges named NSWRL Jersey Flegg Player of the Year

Eden Hodges was tonight awarded the Jersey Flegg Cup Player of the Year Award at the NSWRL’s Presentation Night having produced an outstanding season at Under 21s level.

A Shellharbour junior, Hodges came through the Dragons Academy and played SG Ball with the Illawarra Steelers in 2024.

His Jersey Flegg debut came in 2025 before growing into one of the side’s leader throughout this season.

In 18 outings this season, Hodges scored 15 tries and assisted on 20 others to help lead the Red V to a dominant minor premiership victory.

An athletic five-eighth, Hodges also made a Knock-On Effect NSW Cup debut against the Roosters in Round 8.
