NSW Women’s Premiership Report: Round 4

The St George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers competed in Round 4 of the 2026 NSW Women’s Premiership season over the weekend.

ST GEORGE DRAGONS

The Dragons played out a 14-all draw with the Roosters at Woy Woy Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The Roosters opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Felila Fakalelu, but the Dragons responded soon after with Charis Toli crossing in the 27th minute.

The Roosters hit back late in the first half through Sharni Waters to take a 10-4 lead into the break.

Tiana Anderson started the second half strongly for the Dragons, scoring in the 43rd minute to cut the deficit to 10-8.

The Roosters extended their lead through Manisha Seebeck, pushing the score out to 14-8, but the Dragons refused to go away.

Paige Attard crossed in the final two minutes before Arabella McKenzie nailed the conversion to lock the scores at 14 all.

The Red V fought back late to secure a hard-earned draw against the Roosters.

ILLAWARRA STEELERS

The Illawarra Steelers fell to Mounties 14-4 at Aubrey Keech Reserve on Saturday afternoon.

The Steelers started strongly with Tyra Ekepati crossing in the sixth minute to open the scoring.

Mounties responded soon after through Madison Bartlett, levelling the scores before the break.

The points started to flow for the home side in the second half, with Holly Williams crossing early after the halftime break before Evie McGrath secured Mounties third try to bring the score to 12-4.

Sereana Naitokatoka added the conversion to extend the lead to 14-4.

The day belonged to Mounties, with the Steelers unable to close the gap as the home side held on for the win.
