The St George Dragons have finalised their squad for the 2026 NSW Women's Premiership season, with the side set to open their campaign this Saturday at home against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
The Dragons have assembled a 21-player squad that blends experienced campaigners with a strong injection of young talent promoted directly from this year's Tarsha Gale Cup side.
No fewer than ten players have earned their place in this year’s 2026 NSW Women's Premiership squad after impressing for the St George District’s Tarsha Gale Cup line-up in 2026. Madison Butchart, Tahli Curtis, PypahFerguson, Mihikorama Kerr, Lavinia Latu'ila, Mele Latu'ila, Morgan Simon, Kaylani Tavita, Vitorian Tavita and Izabel Williams. The progression of so many Tarsha Gale graduates into the senior squad underlines the strength of the club's women's pathway.
Also joining the squad is Riley McKay, who arrives with NSW Premiership experience with the Newcastle Knights and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
Returning players Bianca Cutrupi and Dayna Stevens bring continuity and leadership to the group, with both having featured in previous Women's Premiership campaigns under the Red V.
Head coach Lino Salafai is excited by the group he has assembled ahead of the season opener.
"We've got a really special group this year," Salafai said.
"The talent coming through from our Tarsha Gale squad is exceptional and it's exciting to see so many of those girls earn their spot and progress through the pathways system.”
"We've got a big home game to mark the start to the season and that's the focus right now. Running out at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium in front of our supporters and the St. George community is something this group has been building towards. We’re quietly building something special within this squad and I can't wait to see it on the field."
The Dragons host the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Saturday, June 13, kicking off from 1:30PM at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah.
