Dragons Injury Update: Round 6

St George Illawarra Dragons co-captain Clint Gutherson suffered a hamstring injury in the side’s clash against the Cowboys.

“Scans showed that Clint suffered a Grade 2 strain late in Saturday’s game,” Dragons High Performance Manager Daniel Lawson said.

“He will attack his rehab with his trademark professionalism, and we are hopeful to have him back on the field after our bye in Round 9.”

The club can also provide further updates on the following players:

HAYDEN BUCHANAN

Buchanan suffered a head knock in the side’s Round 4 clash on the Gold Coast. He was unavailable to play in Round 5 and is currently going through the necessary steps to return to the field.

DYLAN EGAN

Egan is in the final stages of his ACL rehab having suffered the injury in Round 11 last year. The 21-year-old is back at full training and is eyeing a Round 8-10 return to play.

NICK TSOUGRANIS

Tsougranis suffered an ankle syndesmosis injury in the side’s Round 3 Knock-On Effect NSW Cup win. He is slated for a Round 10 return.

JOSEPH O’NEILL

O’Neill is recovering from a pectoral strain and is aiming to make a return to the field in approximately Round 7-8.

CONNOR MUHLEISEN

Muhleisen is working diligently rehabbing an ACL injury he suffered in the club’s 2025 Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Grand Final defeat. His return to play timeline remains to be determined, but the 25-year-old is optimistic that he will be available to play later in the year.
