St George Venues Secures Naming Rights for Jubilee Stadium

St George Venues has today announced a new major partnership with Georges River Council, securing naming rights for the iconic Kogarah venue for the next three years. The stadium will now be known as St George Venues Jubilee Stadium, reinforcing the organisation’s long-standing commitment to supporting the local community, sport and entertainment across the Georges River region.

St George Venues, a new collective group that brings together three registered clubs, St George Leagues Club, Scots Club Arncliffe and St George Maso’s Club Mortdale, has reinvested $1.7 million back into the St George region in the last 12 months. The announcement aligns with the group’s continued investment in supporting community welfare projects, grassroots sport participation initiatives, and the upkeep and maintenance of grassroots sporting facilities across the area.

For generations, Jubilee Stadium has been at the heart of the community, hosting memorable sporting moments and bringing fans together to celebrate rugby league and sporting events. The new partnership strengthens the connection between two institutions that share a deep history in the St George area and a passion for creating experiences that unite the community.

Chief Executive Officer of St George Venues, Craig Epton, said the partnership reflects St George Venues’ ongoing investment in the region and its people.

“St George Venues has proudly served our local community for decades, and this partnership with Georges River Council is a natural extension of our commitment to supporting the things that matter most to our residents in the St George district.”

“Sport has always played an important role in bringing people together and Jubilee Stadium is a place where generations of fans have created lasting memories. We are incredibly proud to see the St George Venues name associated with such an important community landmark.”

“Becoming the naming rights partner of Jubilee Stadium is another example of our organisation investing in important infrastructure that our community relies on and loves.”

As the home of the St George Illawarra Dragons and St George District Rugby League, St George Venues Jubilee Stadium continues to play a vital role in the local sporting landscape, attracting passionate supporters and visitors to the area for major National Rugby League (NRL) fixtures and New South Wales Rugby League Junior Representative (NSWRL) matches throughout the year.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for one of our most treasured sporting assets. It is a privilege to have our own stadium, Jubilee Stadium, in our great community.

“Working with a local organisation like St George Venues reflects our shared commitment to community pride, local jobs and long-term investment in sport and events. This is about securing a strong future for Jubilee Stadium while delivering lasting economic and social benefits for Georges River.”

Over the next three years, St George Venues Jubilee Stadium will continue to host major sporting fixtures, community events and unforgettable sporting moments, ensuring the venue remains a central gathering place for fans and families across the St George region.

The announcement arrives ahead of St George Illawarra Dragons' first NRL Premiership fixture at the newly named St George Venues Jubilee Stadium in 2026, when they host the North Queensland Cowboys this Saturday April 4, kicking off at 5.30PM.

Ralph Piggott, St George Venues Chairman, welcomed the announcement and highlighted the positive impact of local organisations supporting community infrastructure.

“From our contributions to local charities and sporting clubs, to this landmark partnership with Georges River Council, every step has been guided by our commitment to the people of this region. Seeing the St George Venues name on Jubilee Stadium is a moment that speaks to who we are and who we intend to remain.”

“We look forward to building a strong partnership with Georges River Council and seeing more activity at Jubilee Stadium for the St George community. That means not only professional sporting events, but grassroots sport, entertainment and community events as well. There is something truly special about tomorrow’s sporting stars having the chance to play on the same field as their heroes, and we want to see more of that at this great venue.”

The new naming rights partnership marks another milestone in St George Venues’ mission to bring people together, celebrate community pride and support the future of sport in the region.
