Dragons partner with Sporting Chance for 50-50 Charity Raffle

The St George Illawarra Dragons will this Saturday be partnering with Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation for the club's Round 5 50-50 Charity Raffle.

To show your support, purchase a ticket at the game or head to the 50-50 Charity Raffle website.

Sporting Chance was established in 1996 by former Australian Test Captain and Dragons tragic Mark Taylor, St George Dragons legend Reg Gasnier, Olympian Raelene Boyle and Brownlow Medalist Bob Skilton.

Other patrons for Sporting Chance include former-Dragon Mark Coyne and Fox Sports reporter and Dragons fan Lara Pitt among others.

The foundation supports mobile home care units that assist in making life easier for children with cancer as well as outreach programs for kids with cancer from regional areas.

Sporting Chance funds four nurses in NSW - three at Westmead and one at Randwick - as well as other nurses across Australia with each nurse requiring between $100,000 and $125,000 per annum to cover wages and on-costs such as travel expenses.

Without the support of Sporting Chance, these programs would cease to exist.
