The Dragons are thrilled to announce that local product Skye Spencer has signed a deal which will see her promoted into the club’s NRLW squad.
A Corrimal Cougars junior, Spencer will join the club’s development list in 2027 before moving into the top squad in 2028.
The deal will see the Australian Schoolgirls representative become the first player in club history to progress through the pipeline from Lisa Fiaola Cup, Tarsha Gale Cup, and the Dragons NRLW Academy into the NRLW.
“Skye is the first player in our club’s history to progress from Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup through to our NRLW Academy and into our top squad.”

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity the Dragons are giving me,” Spencer said.
“I grew up in this community, and I’ve come through the system with the Illawarra Steelers. Being able to continue my journey here is such an honour and I’m ready to get to work. We have such a good group of players and staff here who I can’t wait to continue to work alongside.”
General Manager – Female Football Sammy Bremner says that Spencer’s upgrade is a landmark one and a demonstration of the rewards which come from investing in pathways.
“Skye is the first player in our club’s history to progress from Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup through to our NRLW Academy and into our top squad,” Bremner said.
“She has done everything she can throughout her time in our NRLW Academy to earn this elevation. She is a prime example of the work we have put into our pathways over a number of years.”
