Dragons pay special visit to Wollongong Hospital

The Dragons stopped by the Children's Ward at Wollongong Hospital on Friday morning to make a special delivery off the back of the Charity Shield.

Jacob Halangahu, Taliah Fuimaono, Lyhkan King-Togia, Keele Browne, Ella Koster and Jayme Millard were on hand to present a $5,000 cheque which will go towards new equipment and programs.

Flanked by the Dragons Community Team, the group also paid visits to the children throughout the hospital handing out gifts, chatting to families, and taking photos.

The visit was a part of the club's continued mission to have a positive impact on people's lives within our community and ensure the club's associated programs are aligned to key social issues and areas of focus for rugby league.

“It’s always special to have the opportunity to come to these visits,” King-Togia said.

“I’ve been given the chance to do it a few times now and the smiles on the kids faces are priceless. I’m proud to be a part of a club that gets involved in these sorts of initiatives. We appreciate our community and any chance we get to give back is awesome.”
