St George managed their first win of the SG Ball season downing the Bears 32-22 behind Cornelius Pupualii and Samuel Mardini doubles.
North Sydney jumped out to a quick 12-0 lead behind tries to Joseph Wesserr and Hayden Moynihan.
Zack Woodger got the Dragons on the board 14 minutes in off a Beau Duggan dummy-half dart to spark a period of brilliance for his side.
Madden Falaniko did a superb job to craft a one-armed offload to Mardini for the first of his tries moments later before the Dragons hit the lead with Rauna Te Pou Ryder-Kingi sending Pupualii over in the opposite corner with a pinpoint cut-out.
They notched their fourth in an 11-minute period through Lorima Saukuru who sliced through to finish off a well-run set play in the centre of the field and make it a 10-point difference headed into the break.
Mardini finished off a slick right-side shift early in the second stanza to extend the Dragons lead before Pupualii took in a Saukuru cut-out to dive over and make it 32-12.
Aden Baker and Cody Field nabbed two late tries for the visitors, but it proved in vain with Darren Nicholls' men holding on for a deserved win.

Illawarra also notched their maiden win of 2026 storming home to take down the Bulldogs 24-16 at Hammondville Oval.
The Steelers got off to a strong start with Creighton Meafou winning the race to a brilliant Marley McLaren chip to get his side on the board.
Cooper Morrison showcased some sensation footwork soon after to slam the ball down for Illawarra's second and make it a 14-point difference.
Mace Andrew found a try for the hosts to bring them back within six headed into the sheds.
The Bulldogs enjoyed the early momentum in the second period with Zain Alameddine and Paul Johnson notching tries to put them ahead 16-14.
Morrison snagged another with a quarter of the match to play taking in a Jack Talbott delivery and burning his opposite to dive over in the left-hand corner.
Ryder Brown burst through to score for the Steelers off an attacking tap to seal a key win for Shaun Timmins' men.

St George went down to North Sydney 18-10 in their Tarsha Gale Cup clash at Collegians on Saturday.
Amal Dandan got the Dragons on the board just two minutes in before North Sydney responded with tries to Indianna Carroll and Charis Toli to take an 8-4 lead into the half.
Talia Pele Taula and Tyra Field found quick tries in the second stanza to push the Bears out to an 18-4 advantage.
Lavinia Liufau crossed to bring the Dragons back within eight with a little over 10 minutes remaining but the visitors managed to hold on to secure the win.

Illawarra's Tarsha Gale Cup unit stormed home to a big 22-16 win against the Bulldogs on Saturday.
Tori Shipton got the Steelers on the board a quarter of the way in before Evelyn Roberts went over to lock things up headed into the break.
Back-to-back tries to Tiare-Anne Leauga and Mary-Jane Taito saw the hosts leap out to a 16-6 lead with 20 minutes remaining.
The Steelers held their cool however and managed to tie things up entering the home stretch with Holly Czornobej and Seriah Palepale bagging four-pointers.
Madison Hemopo snagged the match-winner for the Steelers with eight minutes on the clock to secure her side's third win of 2026.

The Dragons were bested by the Bears 20-10 in their Harold Matthews Cup battle on Saturday.
Joel Bishop got the Red V on the board 10 minutes in before Morgan Carter scored to answer for the Bears.
Matari Toomey crossed to put the hosts back on top before Carter nabbed a second to make it 10-all headed into the half.
Second half tries to Xavier Kahika-Cherrington and Mason Rawhiti sealed it for Norths as they surged home to a key win away from home.

The Steelers marched home to a 34-6 win over the Bulldogs at Hammondville Oval on Saturday in their Harold Matthews Cup clash.
The scoring started early for Illawarra with Preston Sager crossing just seven minutes in before Oliver Burton joined him on the scoresheet the next set.
Hunter Berghuis crossed to extend the Illawarra lead beyond a pair of converted tries before Sager snagged another to make it 18-0 headed into the break.
Half-time did little to cool the visitors off with Berghuis finding another on the other side of the break before Kahui Chase and Kruz Efaraimo went over to make it 34-0.
Canterbury snagged a late try but it meant little with the Steelers storming towards their fifth win from six outings.

Georgia Kouris got the visitors on the board just three minutes in before the Red V answered shortly after through Braxton Brown.
Brown managed a second soon after to put the Dragons on top.
A Palace Koia try put the Bears in the lead prior to half-time only for the Dragons to hit back on the other side of the break through Maude Havea.
Despite the Dragons' resolve, Cailyce Kiriau-Paulo went over to tie things up with five minutes to play as Summah Pleasance knocked over the extras to seal it.

It proved a clash to forget for the Steelers who went down to Canterbury 50-0 at Hammondville Oval.
The scoring started early for the hosts with Lala Vaea, Jada Breeze Gray, Levini Latu, Jaida Taoai and Finnlay Burchell all crossing to make it 24-0 at half-time.
Jaesynn-Ree Fatialofa, Caszius Fatialofa, and Suraya Kingi joined them on the scoresheet in the second stanza before Vaea and Jaesynn-Ree Fatialofa secured late doubles to put the icing on the cake for Canterbury.
