Vale Graham Richardson

The Dragons are deeply saddened by the passing of lifelong club member and supporter Graham Richardson earlier today.

A former Federal minister and Australian Labor Party powerbroker, Richardson grew up in Sydney and spent the early part of his schooling years at Marist College Kogarah.

He was on hand for the St George Illawarra Dragons 25 year celebrations last year.

CEO Tim Watsford said: “Graham was a true Dragon. He was passionate, hard-working and one of us. Graham will be missed immensely and, on behalf of the Red V, we send our heartfelt condolences to wife Amanda, children D’Arcy and Mathew, and all that were close to Graham.”

Acknowledgement of Country

St George Illawarra Dragons respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples, where our games are played, our programs are conducted and in the communities we support.
