The Dragons are pleased to announce a host of new appointments to the club’s executive leadership team.
Ben Creagh will step down from the board to take on the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer, Ryan Deluca has joined as Chief Financial Officer, Sam Attrill as Chief Revenue Officer, Daniela Armone has been promoted to Chief of Staff and Adam Hodge will commence later this month as Chief Customer Officer.
These appointments complete the refreshed executive team assembled by newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Tim Watsford.
Creagh moves into club management following several successful years serving on both the St George Illawarra and St George District Boards.
In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Creagh will oversee all aspects of football operations, lead the management of elite facilities including the soon-to-be-completed Bruce Gordon Centre, and drive community and stakeholder engagement.
“Ben is one of the club’s greats, our second most-capped player, a premiership winner, former captain and life member,” CEO Tim Watsford said.
“His deep passion for the Dragons, football credentials, and his leadership experience will be invaluable in ensuring continuous improvement across all areas of football and club operations.”
Deluca joins the Dragons after nearly nine years with the NRL where he held senior roles in financial analysis and audit, most recently as Senior Manager of Club Services. Before joining the NRL, he worked with global consultancy firm Deloitte.
Attrill comes with a decorated history of driving commercial outcomes across multiple sport disciplines including the AFL and NBL together with a previous history in rugby league and brand development.
Hodge brings a wealth of experience in sports marketing, fan experience, and strategy having most recently led the marketing and strategy division at sports and entertainment consultancy firm Gemba following previous senior roles at global firm Octagon.
In addition, Daniela Armone has been elevated to Chief of Staff focusing on enhancing processes, governance, compliance, policy and human resources across the club.
CEO Tim Watsford said: “With Ben, Adam, Ryan, Sam and Daniela now in place, we have a strong and capable executive team ready to deliver both on and off the field.”
“This marks the beginning of our commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable success across every facet of the club’s operations. With a refreshed executive team, our men’s and women’s coaching staff, together with recruitment personnel locked in, I’m confident we have the right people in the right roles to drive success for the Red V.”
