Valentine Holmes enjoying his first Robert Stone Memorial Golf Day.

The Dragons will be hosting the club's annual Robert Stone Memorial Golf Day at Beverley Park Golf Club on Friday, November 28th.

Now in its 19th year, the day offers players, coaches, and staff the opportunity to have a hit and mingle with the club's corporate partners whilst celebrating the life of Robert Stone.

Stone played 170 first grade games for the St George Dragons from 1975 to 1985 and was a key member of the club's 1977 and 1979 premiership-winning sides.

Following his playing career, he became an executive officer at the Dragons and was a driving factor in the club's return to Jubilee Oval.

He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July of 2005 and sadly passed away the following month aged just 49.
