The Dragons are pleased to announce that Cook Islands international Lavinia Kitai has agreed to a three-year deal with the club.
The deal will see the 21-year-old remain with the club until at least the end of the 2028 season.
Kitai spent this past season with the Warriors making her NRLW debut in Round 1 and going on to appear in all 11 of the side’s outings averaging 72 run metres and tallying 216 total tackles at near 93 per cent efficiency.
She made her international debut for the Cook Islands against the Jillaroos at the World Cup in 2022 and has since gone on to represent her nation on five occasions whilst also earning selection for the country’s upcoming Pacific Bowl tournament.
“Securing Lavinia’s signature is really exciting for us,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.
“She had a really good rookie season over in New Zealand and showed that she has what it takes to be a long-term NRLW player. She’s strong, athletic, and hard-working and she fills a need for us in our forward pack which is exciting. We look forward to welcoming her to the club for a big preseason as we begin preparing for 2026.”
