A collection of Dragons stars have earnt selection for their respective international squads as they prepare to take the field later this month.
Jaydn Su’A and Lyhkan King-Togia have been listed in Samoa’s squad for their Pacific Championships campaign.
Su’A, who took home the Dragons Medal a year ago, made 18 appearances this season scoring four tries and averaging 124 run metres.
The Logan Brothers junior has represented his country on eight occasions with the most recent being at the Rugby League World Cup in 2022.
King-Togia meanwhile was elevated into the first-grade squad in Round 9 and went on play 17 matches scoring two tries, assisting on nine others, and averaging 62 run metres.
The 20-year-old will be looking to make his international debut for Toa Samoa.
Trinity Tauaneai, the recipient of the club’s NRLW Emerging Talent Award, has been named in the Kiwi Ferns’ wider squad having made nine appearances in her maiden season averaging 71 run metres and making 166 tackles.
Brooke Anderson, who has signed with the Dragons for the next two seasons, has been named in the squad as she looks to add to her six Kiwi Ferns caps alongside Raecene McGregor who co-captains the squad.
Teenage standout Maria Paseka earnt selection in Fiji’s 25-player squad for the IRL Women’s Rugby League World Series in Canada.
Paseka made four appearances this season for the Red V scoring three tries and averaging 97 run metres.
Jack de Belin has been named in Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister's XIII squad to take on the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII team in Port Moresby on October 12th.
De Belin made his international debut for the Kumuls in 2023 and has gone on to make a half-dozen appearances.
Steelers outside back Jessica Patea has again been named in Fetu Samoa’s squad having pieced together a strong Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership season.
Illawarra duo Halle Barrett – daughter of club great Trent – and Skye Spencer will also represent the Australian Schoolgirls against the Junior Orchids in Port Moresby.
