Harvey Norman Women’s Wrap: Round 11

St George and Illawarra both competed in Round 11 of the 2025 Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership over the weekend.

ST GEORGE DRAGONS

The Dragons ended their year with a 32-10 loss to the Knights in Newcastle on Satruday.

Ava Glassie got the hosts on the board just two minutes in before the Dragons managed a response through Shaye Shipton.

Leah Ollerton and Emily McArthur went over prior to the break to give the hosts a double-digit half-time lead.

Ollerton found a second on the other side of the intermission before Madison Swan nabbed a try for the Dragons to cut it back to 22-10.

Newcastle finished strong however with tries to Tyla Brown and Keighley Simpson sealing the win.

ILLAWARRA STEELERS

The Steelers capped their regular season off with a 26-12 win over Wentworthville at WIN Stadium on Saturday.

Ella Churchill found first points for the hosts just three minutes in before Kiara Kostovski and Tayleah Handcock joined her on the scoresheet to put Illawarra up 16-0 at the half.

Tiarna West scored to extend their edge on the other side of the intermission before Sarah Colman got the Magpies on the board.

Paige Tauaneai went over 54 minutes in to seal it for the home side before Carly Abbott snagged a late try for Wentworthville.

The win sees Illawarra finish the regular season fourth and punch their postseason ticket.

They will face the minor premier Knights on Saturday at Jubilee Stadium.
