INDIGENOUS ROUND CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE

To celebrate the second week of the NRL’s Indigenous Round, Gadhu Gathering will see six clubs come together on Dharawal Land in a special three-day festival celebrating rugby league and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

The event will showcase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, with all match days and the precinct to feature cultural performances and entertainment, fan zones, speciality food items and much more.

The word ‘gadhu’ refers to a large body of water such as the ocean in Dharawal, the overarching language spoken by the Aboriginal people belonging to Coastal Sydney. Gadhu Gathering symbolises the gathering or coming together of communities to celebrate a shared passion for rugby league and culture.

Our clash against the Wests Tigers opens the third and final day of the event on Sunday.

BIG TRIO RETURNS

The Dragons are set to be boosted by the returns of Teagan Berry (suspension), Raecene McGregor (suspension), and Indie Bostock (finger).

The trio have headlined a long list of casualties over the past few weeks for the Red V and will provide the side with a welcomed boost.

Berry's return sees rookie Tyra Ekepati shift back out to the wing with Bostock coming into the centres and McGregor partnering Kasey Reh in the halves.

ANOTHER CRACK FOR SHIPTON

Local junior Tori Shipton impressed in her NRLW debut in Round 6 and earns another shot off the interchange as a result.

The teenage rake ran for 62 metres from eight darts and made 18 tackles without a miss in 25 minutes on debut.
