Harvey Norman Women’s Wrap: Round 6

St George and Illawarra both competed in Round 6 of the 2025 Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership over the weekend.

ST GEORGE DRAGONS

The Dragons went down to the Sharks 20-8 in their local derby showdown at Jubilee Stadium on Sunday.

The clash started strong for the Red V with Pia Tapsell crashing over to notch opening points.

The Sharks found a response 10 minutes prior to the intermission with Felila Fakalelu going over to tie things up.

Dayna Stevens knocked over a penalty goal to give the hosts an 8-6 half-time advantage.

Monique Donovan secured a second-half hat-trick however to drag the Sharks to a 12-point victory.

Amal Dandan took home the Remara Player of the Match for the Red V.

ILLAWARRA STEELERS

It proved a Sunday to forget for the previously undefeated Steelers who were bested by Canterbury 26-0 at Jubilee Stadium.

Taylah Fuiava, Simina Lokotui, and Bridget Hoy notched first-half tries for the Bulldogs to make it 12-0 headed into the sheds.

A quick Simina Lokotui double made things all the more difficult for Illawarra before Shaquaylah Mahakitau-Monschau snagged one late to seal it.
