Couchman pays visit to Thirroul Public

Ryan Couchman and the Dragons recently paid a visit to Thirroul Public School as a part of the club’s ’Best You Can Be’ program.

Ryan, our Ken Stephen Medal nominee, returned to his old primary school alongside members of the Dragons Community Team as part of the club’s push to achieve social change in the community’s youth.

The visit adds to a long list of community initiatives in which Ryan has been involved throughout the year including the club's Riverina Community Blitz, NRL Roads to Regions, The Hyrox Event and i98FM Illawarra Convoy.

Alongside twin brother Toby, the Couchmans have financially supported the school-based program to allow children at their former school to benefit from it.

The ‘Best You Can Be’ program aims to encourage children to make positive choices for their health and well-being by emphasising the importance of being active, respectful and inclusive, whilst also maintaining good health habits such as staying hydrated, sleeping and eating well.

After an educational chat, Ryan help lead some mini games to help give the students a taste of rugby league.
