Harvey Norman Women’s Wrap: Round 4

St George and Illawarra both competed in Round 4 of the 2025 Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership over the weekend.

ST GEORGE DRAGONS

The Dragons went down to South Sydney 26-4 at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon in the lead-up to the club's NRLW fixture.

The Rabbitohs took a double-digit lead into the break courtesy of tries to Nyokah Dumas and Luisa Yaranamua.

They extended their lead early in the second stanza through Kesha Church before Kiana Rae followed her soon after to make the lead a convincing one for the visitors.

Jamilee McGregor got the Red V on the board an hour in before Yaranamua found a second late to ice it for the Rabbitohs.

Brooke Tauaneai took home the Remara Player of the Match for the Dragons.

ILLAWARRA STEELERS

The Steelers have rocketed atop the competition ladder thanks to a 16-6 win over Penrith in Rooty Hill.

The win saw Jamie Szczerbanik's squad remain the competition's only unbeaten team four rounds in.

Jessica Patea poured through a hole early off a neat Maddie Studdon face and beat the fullback to nab an early lead for Illawarra.

The Panthers managed an answer in the early stages of the second half throug five-eighth Claudia Bush to wrestle the lead their way.

A 50th-minute Mackenzie Lear effort put the Steelers back ahead before they sealed it late with Brittany Constable scooping up a spilt bomb to dive over.
