The Dragons were this week out in the community as a part of NAIDOC Week celebrations.
Players and Dragons Community Team members dropped in at a number of different events across St George, the Illawarra, and the South Coast.
A host of NRLW stars were involved including Bobbi Law, Keele Browne, Hannah Southwell, Ella Koster, Ahlivia Ingram and Sara Sautia alongside NRL rookies Loko Pasifiki Tonga, Hamish Stewart, Nick Tsougranis and Hayden Buchanan.
The squad paid visits to events held at Albion Park Rail Public School, Shellharbour Civic Centre, Noel Mulligan Oval, Nowra Showground, Hurstville Public School and Koonawarra Community Centre.
NAIDOC Week is a meaningful time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with this year's theme focusing on “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”.
The events included cultural performances, food stalls, local speakers, or community activities whilst the club ran rugby league clinics for attendees free of charge.
The club is committed to sustained success on and off the field and understands that the foundation of its success is in the relationship that it has developed and maintained with its community.
The club respects the unique position of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first peoples of our nation, and values the contribution they make to our country, our community, to our sport and to our club.
