NRL Match Preview: Round 19 v Roosters

The Red V are back at Jubilee Stadium this Saturday for a highly anticipated Heritage Round double-header against the Roosters.

The club's NRLW squad will be in action first at 3:15pm before our NRL outfit prepare for a 5:30pm showdown – both against the Sydney Roosters.

The club will also be celebrating the 15-year anniversary of our 2010 Grand Final victory over the Roosters with a strong contingent of former players on hand for the clash.

CELEBRATING 2010

As a part of Heritage Round celebrations, the club will be honouring our 2010 premiership squad 15 years on from their famous victory.

A strong contingent of past players will be on hand for the clash including members of the 2010 Grand Final squad.

In the precinct, there will be a big screen set up playing heritage packages with bean bags to watch from.

There will also be a 2010 Premiership Trophy display along with face-painting, lawn games, and our merchandise tent.

A MILESTONE FOR SU’A

Jaydn Su’A has been named to play his 150th NRL game – a key milestone for the Origin representative and Samoan international.

Su’A joined the club ahead of the 2022 season and has grown into an integral member of the club taking home the Dragons Medal a year ago.

The 27-year-old has represented Samoa on eight occasions, Queensland on six occasions to go along with what will be 67 Dragons appearances.

PARTNERING WITH GEORGES RIVER LIFE CARE

The Dragons are proud to be partnering with Georges River Life Care for this weekend's double-header at Jubilee Stadium against the Roosters.

Georges River Life Care is a local, community not-for-profit that’s been in operation in Peakhurst since 2007 supporting and enriching the lives of people in the Georges River community who have been impacted by domestic violence and financial hardship through caring and compassionate services.

Through the support of local entities and fundraising like the 50-50 Charity Raffle, Life Care can support a larger number of clients with their case management program.

  • Valentine Holmes has been named to back up from Wednesday's State of Origin decider with Corey Allan shifting back to 18th Man.
  • Luciano Leilua (quad) and Hamish Stewart (head knock) both return in a boost for the pack.
  • Michael Molo reverts to the interchange with Loko Pasifiki Tonga and Viliami Fifita listed among the reserves.

ROOSTERS

  • Sam Walker (thumb) makes his return to the NRL pushing Sandon Smith to the reserves.
  • Billy Smith (knee) and lock Victor Radley (concussion) also return in.
  • Robert Toia, Connor Watson, Lindsay Collins, Angus Crichton and Spencer Leniu have all been named to back up following Wednesday's State of Origin decider.
