Dragons fall short in Wheelchair Rugby League Grand Final

The Dragons unfortunately went down to the Rabbitohs 52-38 in their Wheelchair Rugby League Grand Final in Menai on Sunday.

The squad were unable to cap off what was an outstanding season with a title but showed a heap of poise and courage in the decider.

The Red V cut the deficit back to just two mid-way through the second period but the Rabbitohs ultimately pulled away late to seal the result.

Cory Cannane continued his stellar campaign crossing for five key tries whilst Stephan Rochecouste and Jacob Friedrich also got on the board.

Craig Cannane slotted five goals to keep his side in it, but South Sydney ultimately proved too strong.

The squad pieced together a terrific season and fought hard to give themselves a shot in the decider showcasing a great deal of spirit.
